Bracken is an accessible en-suite room in the bunkhouse and sleeps 3 people. It is surrounded by 300 acres of stunning countryside, & provides the perfect country escape, yet ideally located in Central Scotland. Just 2 miles away is the Royal Burgh of Culross, which is also one of the filming locations for the renowned TV series Outlander, and where you can be transported back in time. Many of Scotlands major cities are less than 1 hour away. Lots of beautiful walk & cycles right from the door.

The Bunkhouse has 3 en-suite rooms in total and you will have sole use of Bracken room.
Bracken is our accessible room & is for your use only for the number of people you have booked in. It has a single bed plus full size bunkbeds. There are hooks on the wall and shelves for your belongings. All beds have a bedside light. Beds are made up for arrival and towels supplied.
It has a large en-suite wet room with an adjustable shower with grab rails, all taps have large push handles and the toilet has a risen seat. It is also fitted with red cord alarm system, please advise if you would like to use them.
The Balgownie Bunkhouse is surrounded by 300 acres of stunning countryside, it provides the perfect country escape, yet ideally located in Central Scotland.

With Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow, Perth and St Andrew all under an hour away, Balgownie provides the ideal base to explore. Less than 3 miles away is the Royal Burgh of Culross, with the Royal Palace and Abbey to discover, along with the Fife Coastal Path. Culross was also one of the filming locations for the renowned TV series Outlander, and where you can be transported back in time. There is a plethora of activities on the doorstep.

Bramblebrae and Balgownie Bunkhouse have private access to the Dunfermline to Alloa cycle path and the West Fife Woodland Way, a fantastic way to explore the surrounding area. You can also just take the time to stop, relax and enjoy the stunning rural location.

I work with my husband on the family farm, and look after the holiday lets. I have had vast experience in the Hotel and catering business which helps me to prepare ours to a high standard.
We are here to help with any questions or queries you may have but aim not to be intrusive.

when we get time off we like to travel and have been to a variety of world wide destinations so far Australia is my favourite.
We also like Scotland when the weather is good you cant beat it.
At home I love to get out on my Highland pony as we have a wonderful network of paths right from our door step.
