I originally from Martha's Vineyard Mass in the States. During my early childhood my parents ran a guesthouse in Oak Bluffs called the Oak house. Of German & African American decent my parents moved to this community in the 1960’s because it was a safe haven for mixed raced families. At the age of 12 I was sent to Boarding School in Tangier, Morocco. After which I went to college in NYC, where I continued to reside for 25 years. I opened a world music bar on the lower east side called KUSH which had a 17 year run. Later I opened Lefferts Manor Bed & Breakfast. After coming to Treasure Beach on Vacation I fell in love with Jamaica and started renovating the property now called Katamah in 2011. I live in Jamaica full time now and visit My family in New York & Florida as often as I can. My kids Maya, Yana & Zeke in Brooklyn. Maya 25 runs our online reservations at our website and on air bnb for Katamah Guesthouse from the office in Brooklyn. I have been doing interior design and turn of the century restoration work in New York City for 25 years, always with my signature Moroccan style design. My partner Simon is a landscape gardener from Northampton, England. Together we own & manage our small award winning bohemian beachfront guest house on Jamaica's idyllic Treasure Beach on the South Coast.
