If you don't know much about Phuket, then our Kata/Karon area is known to be more “family friendly” and not as crazy as places like Patong. Kata beach is great, there are plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets all over the place. We're within walking distance to Kata beach quite comfortably, while Karon beach is a bit further.
