Take in the beauty, peace & calmness of the majestic Western Norwegian scenery - you can't get much closer to the fjord than this. situated only 15m from the coastline, with easy ocean access. This is rare, due to the strict building laws near the coast. The apartment is facing south, & has excellent sun conditions all year round - also rare for Western Norway. Only 1hr from Bergen, the city centre of Strandvik boasts a multisport facility, with sports ranging from beach volleyball to football.

Built in 2003, this architect-designed generational house comes with a stunning & rare fjord view. The master bedroom downstairs is equipped with a high-end king-size bed from Norwegian bed manufacturer Svane, and is an experience in & of itself. There are two more bedrooms in the upstairs area, making a total of three, where one of them is equipped with another double-bed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and the bathroom is spacious with a comfortable shower.

There are only around 500 people living in Strandvik, but paradoxically enough, this tiny countryside town has a big outdoor multisport facility with the best beachvolley courts in Norway. You can play tennis, basketball and football anytime you feel like it, as it is free to use for anyone visiting. There are also big host of nice hiking trails in the near vicinity, with some of them starting 1 minute away from the house.

Strandvik is remote & peaceful, yet quite central in terms of things to do. Visit Bergen - the second largest city in Norway for a daytrip only 1 hour away, or drive 2 hours to Odda to hike the world-renowned "Trolltunga". Hardangerfjorden, Kvinnherad and Rosendal are also very popular areas with lots of tourist attractions and amazing sceneries, only 1,5 hours away.

Strandvik is a quiet and tranquil place, situated in beautiful, natural environments. Natural sounds, no traffic. A place to regain your energy and to unwind from the busy city life
There is a small restaurant in the centre of Strandvik, where they serve light meals, wine and beer. There is also a supermarket, called Joker, where you will find fresh bread and everything you need for a good meal.
If you are into sports, there is also a tennis court, a football field and six Beachvolley courts in Strandvik.

My name is Merita. I am a mother of 5 and married to Kåre. We are both self employed as coaches in beachvolleyball and work a lot from home. Our whole family is all about sports, and we travel the world to compete against the best teams in the world. When we are not travelling we enjoy the slow and natural lifestyle in our beautiful home in Strandvik, a very special place where we can regenerate and enjoy the amazing view Bjørnefjorden. We love to meet new people and like to share this beautiful place with people from all over the world. We have had visitors from USA, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria and of course a lot of Norwegians too.
