This park has many features. It has several walking trails, paved and unpaved that lead to a scenic river. There is a small nature center with some turtles, snakes, etc. Barfield also has a challenging disc golf course, 2 playgrounds, several pavilions for picnics, volleyball net, tetherball, baseball, and soccer fields.

This park is worth the 45 minute drive! There are several hiking trails and waterfalls throughout this scenic, historical park. There is also a small museum and a nice picnic area with a playground.
