You may have heard about hot chicken as Nashville's hottest poultry craze. Well, this is the original hot chicken spot. All of the other places are going to be polished, new, and designed for tourists. This place is the opposite, and you must call an hour or so before you want to pick up your chicken. But if you want the real deal, then this is your spot.
Note: this is not the best area of the city. But again, this is the best hot chicken in the city.

A great place to enjoy top quality burgers and brats, plus an awesome beer selection. Their outdoor seating is a really large nice beer garden. A must try. Plus, it's right in the heart of East Nashville, Nashville's most hipsterish neighborhood (if you like that sort of thing).

This park features many interesting monuments and lots of Nashville history. It also very large grassy areas and features some nice walking trails and a great dog park. It is filled with college kids as it is very close to Vanderbilt. The main point of interest however is a full size replica of the Greek Parthenon that houses a 40 foot statue of the goddess Athena. Athens of the South, indeed.

It is filled with college kids as it is very close to Vanderbilt. The main point of interest however is a full size replica of the Greek Parthenon that houses a 40 foot statue of the goddess Athena.
