Dupont is just under an hour away but worth the drive. There are an endless amount of hiking trails, amazing views, and waterfalls to hike to or swim at. We recommend Hookers Falls and High Falls. Get there early on the weekends to get good parking and to avoid the crowds.

Carl Sandburg is an iconic home in Flat Rock, NC. There are hiking trails on the property and a goat barn that you can't miss! The house is open for tours during the week.
