This 5.5-acre partially wooded park has picnic tables, a children’s playground, a Ron Hook mural, and a Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The grassy, rolling lawns are used for summer gatherings, community festivals, and concerts. It's also home to the Vashon branch of the King County Library System.

Located in the center of Vashon Island, Island Center Forest is a Forest Stewardship Council® (license code FSC-C008225) certified working forest and natural area managed to demonstrate sustainable forest management while protecting and restoring the health of the site's habitat. Enjoy a picnic at the Forest Cathedral picnic shelter, or hike to one of two ponds along 10 miles of multi-use trails. Especially pleasant on hot summer days!
