Local food, amazing oysters, great wine list, excellent service... this is a wonderful place to treat yourself. If you don't feel like splurging, then at least stop in for an appie and a glass of wine.

Arts & Culture

The permanent collection is incredible, and the Audains are great, local patrons of the arts. The architecture is by a local firm, and is superb.

A great rainy day activity - particularly if you're here with small children. This is a gem of a building, that invites relaxing away from the frenzy of the village.

Essentials

I find this the easiest grocery store for parking, a good selection, and reasonably prices. There's also a liquor store and pharmacy across the plaza.

Lots of cute clothes, shoes, art and ceramics by local and not-so-local artists. This a nice break from the chains that populate the village stroll.

Getting Around

Take the FREE #5 shuttle into the village (or back home, if you don't want to walk up the hill). The covered stop is right outside our building, just a few meters down the hill. Or pick it up at the main bus loop in the Village, just up the stairs from the Blackcomb Gondola. No problem bringing your skis or board on the bus. It runs about every 15 or 20 minutes.
