Cruise down there after lunch with your frisbees, blankets, books and sunscreen and spend the afternoon on a lovely beach. It's lovely, quiet and a short walk past the local Sailing Club.

In the wet season this is a great waterfall! If it isn't wet season, then a drive to Cape Gloucester is a must for some secluded mainland beach time however if you do not have a vehicle and are interested in a good hike, check out the Honeyeater trail! Entrance is at the top of Kara Cres in Airlie, 9km steep return trip and the view is WORTH IT. Tip ** try to do it in the morning before it gets too hot and take water!

In the wet season this is a great waterfall! If it isn't wet season, then a drive to Cape Gloucester is a must for some secluded mainland beach time however if you do not have a vehicle and are interested in a good hike, check out the Honeyeater trail! Your closest bus stop is at the end of the street and to the right, just where the little shops finish. A bus can take you in either direction to Airlie or back out of town to the airport. It is a lovely walk into Airlie via the boardwalk, perhaps 40mins briskly or an hour taking your time (however there are several places along the way to stop for a drink or a snack - recommended!).
