I hope you enjoy Toronto as much as we do. It is a great city that is going through a HUGE transformation. Construction and traffic are the norm here and will be for a while, you’ll see cranes everywhere. There are so many more places to see and visit, I’m sure you will venture into them.

Kensington Market, a bohemian place, great village to walk around, coffees, people watching and foods from all over the world. Marijuana cafes and shops are everywhere. To get there, you will go through China Town and Queen St West, where shopping for whatever you want, or need is an abundance. This market used to be called the Jewish Market. Many years ago, they used to sell live animals, like chickens, rabbits etc. a true market. http://www.kensington-market.ca/Default.asp?id=home&l=1

CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium and St. Lawrence Market, a beautiful long walk. Take Front street and walk east. You’ll walk by the CN Tower, the tall free-standing structure, a great way to see the city from way above. Ripley’s is next to the CN Tower. You will then walk through the financial district and a part of the original downtown which is Yonge Street. Yonge street runs north-south, it is said to be the longest street in the world, walk north and explore. Yonge street divides the city from the east side to the west side. There’s a big mall called The Eaton Centre at Yonge and Queen/Dundas. St. Lawrence Market is at Jarvis/Front.

Yorkville is a place where Channel, Cartier’s and all those foo-foo, fifi-fifi shops are. This is a nice long walk to get to but can be done, you will see many things along the way (4.2km or 2.7mi), it’s about an hour walk. Bloor Street is interesting and one of my favorite streets. It runs east-west and has many options for shopping, people watching and food.
