Enjoy these fun things to do within 40 minutes of our cabins.
We are Kishauwau's Starved Rock Area Cabins and are located a quick 10 minute drive from Starved Rock State Park.
Just a quick 10 minute drive from Kishauwau's property. Go at sunset and enjoy the beautiful views off the veranda. There is outdoor seating and waiters & waitresses will come take your order. Great spot to get a bite to eat or relax with a drink.

Matthiessen State Park is a little closer to us than Starved Rock. I love this park for it's gorgeous hiking and it's a little less commercialized than Starved Rock is. If you take the lake entrance off of route 71 it's not as well known. My favorite is to hike to the wishing well in the bottom. There is a creek bed that leads you to a pool of water and there are even caverns you can walk inside. Super cool.

Tour this historic local mansion and hear of the famous people that the carus family entertained. I very much enjoyed my tour and they even offer summer sunset concerts on the lawn every Friday in the summer.
