St. Louis is only cool because of this:
St. Louis is a great place to visit (as for living that's a harder call) but if you are just here for a little while, you should visit these places:
I've been coming here over the years traveling from NYC to STL and I would say it played a huge role in my decision to move here. This space is constantly transforming and growing and adding new and fun that adults and kids enjoy equally. Forget about watching your kids...your kids should worry about finding you - you'll be walking into the mouth of a Whale and then Lara Croft'ing on your belly out of a well which is actually tucked away in the floor - or crawling up the rounded part of a silo from the inside almost going from vertical to horizontal (it's a little scary at first) ... but it's amazing and everyone is there to have fun and look out for one another.

If you're looking for calm and beautiful with a touch of education, this place is what you make of it as well. It's gorgeous and really well done. I especially love watching the bees fly in and out of this clear plexi-glass beehive - I want to know the bee-dance so badly.

It's great for kids but there is definitely enough to keep the adults really engaged as well. They have a maker lab set up inside and if you talk to the guys who run it, you can come in and work on personal projects (within the guidelines that they have set up) and its free, you just need to be open to sharing your time while the public interacts with you and asks questions. They also have great First Friday events and those are highly recommended to see even more cool stuff, but to explore what other spaces exist and who the artists are that live here.

1 Government DrIt's free! Enough said!
It's only paying for parking and all adults get two free drink tickets to sit inside a cute little "German Biergarten" and it really takes me back to Germany or at least doesn't feel like a Midwest City for a minute. Also, the Clydesdale horses are insane to see in person. They are HUGE!

If it is not night time or flooded, sure it's a thing to do.
