Everyone seems to love a trip here…I recommend doing it on market day on Tuesday or Saturday. Parking is horrific then so it’s best to get the ferry from town across early in the morning before the market closes at 12.

Beautiful village for walking around and you can see the castle in the distance from the balcony. You can get the little train from the village up into the hills if you want. We used the train for our wedding to get from the church to St Maur.

This is the famous St Tropez beach. There are numerous beach clubs or you can just park and sit on the public beach. Worth a visit but go early so you don't get stuck in traffic on the way there and avoid the St Tropez market days because what is a 15minute journey could take 2 hours!

The local markets are a lovely place to pick up fresh fruit and veg whilst having a peruse of clothes and souvenirs. The market in Port Grimaud is every morning on Thursday and Sunday in the main square.

Supermarkets
There is a little supermarket opposite the church but it is a bit pricey, it’s good if you have forgotten something. Geant is the closest but it’s also expensive and not favoured by locals. We like to go to Leclerc in Cogolin for our big shop. Grand Frais has really fresh food but it is pricey. Carrefour is 30seconds down the road from Grand Frais so sometime we shop in both.

Ferry to St Tropez
To avoid the traffic and horrific parking we recommend you take the ferry to St Tropez. You can take this from the centre of town or the Capitainerie. The service is bateaux verts.
