Do not talke the CAT (City Airport Train), as it is three times the price of a regular train.

I recommend simply taking any train to Meidling Bahnhof, as it is just one station on the metro line U6 from the apartment.

A weekly subway ticket costs just as much as a 72-hour ticket.

If you are staying even just a little longer than 3 days, consider a weekly subway ticket. Make sure you validate your ticket and stay within the limits. The Vienna subway works on an honor system, so no doors will stop you. However, if you travel with a ticket that expired even just an hour before, you may have to pay a fine of up to 103 euros!
