Dawn's Guidebook of Poole

Dawn's Guidebook of Poole

A very interesting and comprehensive free museum revealing so much of the history of the area. There were three floors jampacked with interesting artefacts and displays. To top it all there is a delightful rooftop, Terrace café on the third floor. This serves an array of teas, coffee, soft drinks, cream teas, and light lunches. They also serve my favourite pot of Dorset tea.

There is a vast array of things to look at to suit every taste and they often have excellent art exhibitions – which bring travellers in from all over and are free.

Gardens - peace & tranquility

The garden is a little haven right within the bustling High Street – it is manned by volunteers and is truly beautiful – and a lovely place to read a book or just sit and admire the many & varied gorgeous plants.
