DeSoto's Seafood Kitchen is a local favorite (especially for lunch.) They have won "People's Choice Winner" for best lunch like 8 years in a row now.

Adult Beverage

Big Beach is another great place to visit. It is also right up the street from the house and is the only local brewery on the island. They do not serve food at the brewery but allow you to bring food from other places.

This is my favorite place for a beer. It is kinda a "dive bar" and is an old house on piling. It backs up to the lagoon and is a right place to watch the sunset (besides the beach of course.)

This park is the one you passed getting to the house. Nothing fancy, it does have a kids section and also makes a loop around the whole park if you want to stretch your legs. If you are staying during the week sometimes they have events there like movie in the park and bands playing too.
