Saturday market. Mainly food, but you'll find some vintage and designer clothes and other trinkets. Also surrounded by good restaurants and pubs, gets extremely busy on a sunny day. Also great walk from the flat just along the canal

Sunday flower market. It's a unique scene, chaotic, busy and charming. Have a walk around, resist the temptation to buy all flowers and then have a drink somewhere nearby.

Transport

Public transport is phenomenal in London. Rush hours are best avoided, but you can get anywhere in the city at any time. A contactless credit card is all you need. Google Maps works well, but CityMapper is a better option. Uber works well, but it's worth considering the alternatives: Kapten or Bolt.

Security

London is a safe city, but like with every mayor metropolis, there are a few things you need to pay attention to. The main issue that I'm aware of is petty theft, especially phone snatching from bicycles and scooters. It's still a rare occurance, but my advise is to not to walk/stand around with your phone out and be aware of your surroundings when you do.
