built in the 1980's Carsington water stores water for re distribution by river when needed. A haven for wildlife, with bird hides, Osprey nests and water foul. Extensive water sports inc. windsurfing, sailing, Kayaking and fishing. Bike hire, visitor center cafes shops and restaurant. large play area and picnic area, walk all the way around the water (8 miles)
