Bridlington's Bolt Hole Chalet - always something to do!
Dog Friendly walk
Walk out of the chalet to the beach and turn right (opposite direction to Bridlington). Walk on the beach for a good half hour passing World War II bunkers to Fraisthorpe Beach. This is the windsurfing beach where people do sports activities. Look to your right you will see a grassed car park above the beach walk inland up to the car park, cross it and there you will find the dog friendly Cow Shed Inn which serves teas, coffees, beers and food, snacks and main meals. It closed at 4 pm but check. Nice to walk back through the grassed car park overlooking the beach back to the chalet on the little footpath edging the beach all the way back. A nice loop walk with a dog friendly refreshment stop half way. If you can't walk this far, it is a particular lovely drive on the main road to Fraisthorpe Beach through country lanes amongst all the windmills.

Things to do!
During the Summer, nearby, on the way from the chalet to Bridlington on the main road, every Tuesday and Thursday is the open air outdoor car boot market. Lovely to potter around on a hot summer's day. Starts early at 6 am finishes at 2 pm.

Old country hotel on top of the cliff of Ravenscar. Lovely big gardens with a view of the beach. Perched high with gardens bar and restaurant. Dog friendly. Great for afternoon tea with cakes. Meals and a bar. 20 mins drive above Scarborough.

Sightseeing
8 miles above Bridlington you can visit the headland. Two separate car parks, one being the south landing car park for the lighthouse, the other carpark called the north landing car park. A lovely cafe on the cliff tops with an incredible view or you can go down to pretty deserted beaches and explore the smugglers caves. Lots of cliff top walks from one beach to another. Great for dogs.

Half an hour drive. Great with a dog. Walking on the spit on the coast.

Great Victorian pavillion for coffee and cake. Has a bar and meals. Glass ceiling open and airy overlooking the sea on the north beach next to the fairground on the promenade. Dog friendly.
