Porec is a small town so it is easily traveled by foot.
In the historic town center, everything is very close, from grocery stores to bars sand restaurants and beaches. There is NO need to drive unless you go on day trips.

Wonderful selection of delicious fresh produce, plus seafood, and homemade pastas, honey, preserves and olive oils. The market is a very short distance from our apartment.

Every Wednesday throughout the summer the Lapidarium, a cultural and historical complex as well as a Cafe and Bar, hosts classical and modern jazz concert series. This is very, very close to the apartment.

Classical-music concerts, run by Poreč University, take place at the Euphrasian Basilica several times a week during summer.

One of the oldest Croatian contemporary-art exhibitions takes place at the Istrian Parliament and is curated around a single theme. It runs from August to mid September.

Traveling with kids
Our apartment is right on the playground so it is ideal for kids. Porec is a wonderful place for children especially if you are staying in the historic center because you do not need to drive. There a tons of restaurants, ice cream shops, easily accessible beaches, and lots of other kids around. There are also plenty of grocery stores if you want to cook.

Motovun Film Festival
The Motovun Film Festival is an annual film festival established in 1999 and held in the small town of Motovun, Croatia. It usually takes place over five or six days in late July or early August. Visit www.motovunfilmfestival.com for more information.
