Sightseeing
If you like to walk and be outside, then walking down (or driving to the parking spaces just east of the bridge you crossed to come into town) to Sternwheeler Park and into the wetlands is peaceful. If you go under the bridge to the boat launch (north of the East Fork of the Lewis River) you can see historical signs - like Timmen's Landing that explains that this region used to be called "Podunk" (I kid you not) and how it got the name of La Center.

Battleground Lake State Park is pretty - it is a State Park so you need to buy a day pass to park. You can walk around the lake - it's luscious in the fall.
The city of Battle Ground has amenities like Fred Meyer or Walmart as well as a slew of antique shops - Rusty Glamour, Urban Basics, Nest Vintage, Main street station are on the same street within a block of each other and fun to go in if you like antiquing. Woodland also has a few neat shops - Rose and Thorn and Cocobella and Tesori Da Speranza Antiques and Home Decor
