There is a Curious Gorge book for hikers that are interested-and a local x-country map for skiers for Mt. Adams . We fluctuate between 25- 50 degrees here lately and we never know if we are going to get snow. You can also rent ski gear in Hood River at Doug's for x-country on Mt Adams or downhill gear for Mt. Hood.
