The cafe/restaurant where JK Rowling and Ian Rankin famously did some of their writing, this is a great place for coffee and cake with views of the castle out the back.

Stunning museum and great place to saunter if you have a couple of hours spare. Free apart from visiting exhibitions. Make sure you take the lift to the Roof Terrace for some great views of Old Town.
