The Zagreb Cathedral on Kaptol is a Roman Catholic institution and not only the tallest building in Croatia, but also the most monumental sacral building in Gothic style southeast of the Alps. It is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and to kings Saint Stephen and Saint Ladislaus. The cathedral is typically Gothic, as is its sacristy, which is of great architectural value. Its prominent spires are considered to be landmarks as they are visible from most parts of the city.

Zrinjevac or Square of Nikola Šubića Zrinskog Square is part of the "so called" Green or Lenuci's "horseshoe" made up of seven Zagreb's Lower Town squares. It covers an area of ​​12,540 m2. In the northern part, a meteorological column was set up in 1884 as a gift of military doctor Dr. Adolf Holzer. In the southern part of Zrinjevac there are busts of prominent Croatian personalities: Julija Klović, Andrija Medulić, Krst Frankopana, Nikola Jurišić, Ivana Kukuljević Sakcinska and Ivana Mažuranić. In the middle of the park, there is a music pavilion set up in 1891.
