This is a beautiful viewpoint to watch a sunset. There is a bench to sit on and take in all the scenery or walk down the long stairway to access the beach. This beach is typically less crowded so it's a great place to enjoy the sun, fly a kite or if your like me play frisbee with your doggo!

This beach access is 2 minute walk from Ocean Lake beach House and 5 minute by car from AwayFrame. This is the location of the famous kite festival and the perfect place to fly a kite.
This is a great spot to take the kids because the World's littlest river terminates into the ocean here. The river is shallow and warmer than the ocean so great for kids to play in.

101 US-101This beach access is 2 minute walk from Ocean Lake beach House and 5 minute by car from AwayFrame. This is the location of the famous kite festival and the perfect place to fly a kite.
This is a great spot to take the kids because the World's littlest river terminates into the ocean here. The river is shallow and warmer than the ocean so great for kids to play in.

Beautiful out and back hike with a large suspension bridge over the waterfall. The road to get there is narrow, drive safely.

This is a fun park with a big play structure for the kiddos. A great place to swim, play or picnic on Devil's Lake.

Taft Historic District is a great area to explore. Grab a locally roasted coffee at Pacific Grind & head out to the beach to collect agates & drift wood. You may even be inspired to build a beach fort or have a campfire. This is a popular spot for outdoor activities like clamming, crabbing & fishing. My personal favorite is watching the pod of harbor seals play, sun and swim in the bay. They are liveliest in the morning as they hunt and steal the fisherman's bait :) Afterwards treat yourself to a cup of chowder at Mo's.
