Food scene
The Prince of Wales is a hidden gem of a pub. It’s a ten minute walk from the flat, on a quiet Georgian square selling very reasonably priced but excellent pub grub.
The atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve walked right into a Richard Curtis movie and Jude Law or Hugh Grant might walk in at any moment!
Make sure you book a table as it does get busy!
The Dog House located on Kennington Road, is a proper old London pub located next to the house where Charlie Chaplin lived. If you fancy a pint in Charlie’s old local, they offer a cosy and quirky vibe. The food is also excellent – Johannes is a particular fan of the sausage and mash, and I LOVE their steak pie.

The Black Dog is a cute corner pub on the edge of Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. Great food, nice location and right near National Crime Agency and MI5 offices, so you just might find yourself next to a real life 007 after a day at the office!

Toulouse Lautrec is a French restaurant with live music. You can book a table in the piano room and listen to live jazz music while you eat. Excellent atmosphere, great food and service! There’s also a jazz room on top floor if you just fancy drinks.
