City/town information
Haiku is a drive but worth it. Nuka is a great sushi restaurant, another favorite is Café Des Amis which has vegan and vegetarian options. If you're looking for a quick coffee on your way to Hana, Better Things Café is a good option. It also has gluten free baked goods.

Sightseeing
Check out the infamous Jaws surf spot on the North shore. You'll need all wheel drive and it rarely breaks but if you'd like to visit the spot it's a beautiful view. Warning: do not paddle out here please as it is a very advanced big wave surf spot.

hikes
There are tons of hikes in Maui. Our personal recommendation is Waihe'e ridge trail. It's an aerobic climb so bring hats, sunscreen, lots of water and snacks. It's a 4 mile out and back.
