Vineyards
If you want to meet the locals go to Northfield Vineyards, if you don’t feel like family here…well “this ain’t y’all’s place”…. I’m sorry you don’t understand our hospitality. And if you need a bit of upscale foo foo-ness then drop by Del Monaco for some nice sunset views, and lovely vintages

All about my hometown
Cookeville is a very nice laid back sorta place. We take things slow, no rushing around is necessary here. We are a two college, college town, there’s always something happening. Farmers markets, theater, art projects, sports, and plenty of fun for all ages. A college town with a small homey feeling. We are surrounded by great local musicians, wonderful boutiques, restaurants with ample homemade food at great prices, local breweries, distilleries and vineyards! Be sure to take a few hours to check out the state parks and hike to some amazing waterfalls, ( our state parks are fee FREE).

Be sure to check out the “pay as much as you can afford,” The Pizza Machine, pizza bus, if you see them, don’t pass up the chance to grab a pizza, at the cost you can afford to pay…YES, you read that right. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE KINDNESS THEY OFFER!!!! My suggestion is a minimum of $12 for a cheese 10” pizza ( be mindful of what you are asking them to put on it, ie. meat= more $$), I feel a dollar based on size and $2 tip, so if you want to order a fully loaded 10” pizza you should probably drop $20!

Vineyards
If you love wine, you’ll love the Tennessee wine trail, two of my favorites are: Del Monaco Vineyards ( the California boutique style) and the home grown local style of Northfield Vineyards, where you may be lucky enough to meet Momma!
