Mirror Lake in downtown Lake Placid has a nice public beach with a lifeguard on duty, changing rooms, and a nearby children’s playground. Street parking is available, municipal parking within walking distance.
Explore the Olympic Center, Ski Jumps, Mt. Van Hoevenberg (site of bob sled run, luge track and nordic skiing).
Several quaint shops on Main Street plus Price Chopper, Hannaford, Walgreen's and Kinney's.
