The Russian River trail is an absolutely gorgeous 3 mile trip to waterfalls that will mesmerize. Go there during the salmon run in July and August. You might just get to witness nature in action; brown bears feasting on Sockete salmon at the base of the falls! Don’t miss this incredible opportunity just 30 minutes away from the cabin.

Homer is approximately 1.5 hours southwest of the cabin and an absolutely fabulous destination for all things nature! Drive out onto the famous Homer Spit and enjoy some ice cream as you browse for fun souvenirs in the local shops.

Come in early July for the Kings, stay through the middle of August for the Reds, and top off your season in late August through September for the Silvers. Fishing on the Kenai is unparalleled, period!
