The Chiang Mai Sunday Farmers Market at Pa Tan is excellent. There is a plethora of local fresh produce, much of it organic. The stall holders are all very friendly and are more than happy to tell you about their wares and offer you samples to taste.
The market is undercover which is useful when escaping the heat of the sun or sheltering from a rain shower.
There are also plenty of stalls selling cooked food and drinks .
