PS: Woodfin Riverside Park is 5 min south from this park, and the Woodfin park has restrooms and a shelter in case of rain.

1080 Old Marshall Hwy20 min from us. Beautiful park for sitting close to the river and eating a picnic. There is a walking path that brings you to some large beautiful and accessible rocks in the river. It's lovely to sit there and listen to the sound of the water. (No public restrooms).
PS: Woodfin Riverside Park is 5 min south from this park, and the Woodfin park has restrooms and a shelter in case of rain.

You can hike up to Mount Mitchell, a 2 mile hike that might take 90 minutes or you can drive up pretty close and then just take a shorter walk to the peak.
