The special museum consisted of memories of Sarajevo people who were children during the siege of Sarajevo in 1992-1994. Video testimonies, personal stories recorded, exposed different objects that hold personal stories. Be ready to listen carefully for at least one hour and you will be able to understand what it was like to be a child in a city without electricity, food or water, without windows nor heating in winter time and still able to fall in love or create art. Must see!

Current public transportation issue
If you want to go from Bascarsija to Ilidza, public tram transportation is currently under construction and you would need to transfer from tram to a bus that goes to Ildiza, with the same ticket. The Cngic Vila station is where you get off the tram and go into the bus, showing to the driver the ticket you already bought.

Pickpocketers Alert!
Be aware that Sarajevo is famous for having very capable thieves. Always keep your bag in front of you. Never live your beg without supervision when for e.g. have coffee outside in a public area. Bascarsija is where they operate the most. But if you do get robbed, call the police. The police know these pickpocketers and you might get back your stuff.
