In and around Ubud are magnificent: ancient temples, multi-leveled rice fields, waterfalls, a majestic active volcano, the largest freshwater lake in Bali, the Sacred Monkey Forest, entertaining dance shows, organic small coffee farms and much more. We are in love with Ubud atmosphere and it has become our place to go when visiting Bali.

Activities & Sightseeing

The Campuhan Ridge is our favourite walk in Ubud. There are a few hills, but it’s an easy walk with lovely views of rice fields and down into a valley. There’s not much shade, so it’s best early morning or towards sunset.

The Campuhan Ridge is our favourite walk in Ubud. There are a few hills, but it’s an easy walk with lovely views of rice fields and down into a valley. There’s not much shade, so it’s best early morning or towards sunset.
The Monkey Forest is the sanctuary and natural habitat of the Balinese long-tailed macaque. Definitively a must-do and see during your stay in Ubud.

The Ubud Palace is an old building complex in Bali with some fantastic carvings and courtyards. Also known as Puri Saren Agung, this is an important historical landmark for the Balinese and it’s also very accessible, with some great spots for taking ‘Bali-esque’ cultural photos.
