Marnee Thai has the authentic feel of being in Thailand. Their decor is certainly romantic with real bamboo wall paper. The staff are all friendly. The place can get a full house quick at night so arrive early to get a table. No reservation but they have a sign in sheet. Spatially, this place is somewhat small but it has a cozy feel to it. Get the coconut drink, shredded green papaya salad, garlic pork, tom yum soup, and basil chicken and you're all set!

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant. It's not just a sushi bar but they actually serve yellow tail cheeks grilled to perfection. I would highly recommend trying their sizzling platter of Chilean Sea Bass.

It's a place to take someone on a romantic dinner and drink. The N-Judah train two blocks away from the house will get you there. Ubering back will only cost about $10.

This is a genuine Irish pub. Durty Nelly's has great food and not just beer. Food ranging from fish and chips to grilled reuben, Irish fries, Nelly's Wings, Irish Burgers and Shepard's Pie. If you go, keep in mind it is a popular local hangout and will likely get crowded and lively on Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday afternoon can be pretty crowded there as well.

Otherwise, let your eyes be bigger than your stomach and order a bunch of food and share it with your travel companion. This is a local hangout so you'll see lots of techies and hipsters there.

The Golden Gate Park is one of San Francisco's iconic gems. It's been noted by New Yorkers to be more expansive than the Central Park in NYC. Tucked away near the East end you'll find The Academy of Science, The Japanese Garden, and the DeYoung Museum. There are other sights of interest such as the renovated Conservatory of Flowers. This is a bike friendly park where you can peddle through or go on a Segway tour. It's walking friendly as well and often you'll find free concerts. In the summer, the Golden Gate Park hosts the Hardly Strictly Blue Grass Music Festival and the Outside Lands -- some free some not so free but worth every penny.
