One of the well known Tempura restaurants in Asakusa, famous more for Tendon (Tempura rice bowl) than tempura. Established in 1887, having a history of more than 125 years, it has evolved to an original style of tendon. In many of the restaurants, the color of tempura is kept to a mild brown, but here, having dipped longer in a dark sauce, it is almost black in color.

In plus to the normal "chuka-soba" (750yen), there are also tsukemen (dip style ramen)(750yen) and "bari-niboshi" (750yen), which uses 3 times more the dried fish.
