It has a pool hall/game room in the back but the atmosphere is very chill. The patio is perfect for clandestine conversations, but my favorite spot is on the couch under the nudie paintings. These bartenders know it all--I challenge you to try to stump them!

Getting Around
Just a couple of blocks' walk, and you can catch a train going to the events at the American Airlines Center; the Arts District (Pearl Station); the Convention Center (about a one-minute ride from the neighborhood!).
However, for weekends and evenings, eFrogs is the best and most fun way to get around in the Cedars neighborhood, downtown, and Deep Ellum! You simply text them your location, number of people going, time of pick up and destination point. There is no cost; you pay by tips only.
Bikes are also available for rent in the neighbor, and can dropped off just about anywhere in the area.

The lawn with its many areas for sitting and reflecting is a favorite place of mine (I've been known to take a nap under a tree, in dappled sunlight!) Always with new or rotating exhibits, but there are also occasional events such as educational classes or movies on the lawn.

The lawn with its many areas for sitting and reflecting is a favorite place of mine (I've been known to take a nap under a tree, in dappled sunlight!) Always with new or rotating exhibits, but there are also occasional events such as educational classes or movies on the lawn.
My personal favorite! A museum dedicated to the arts and cultures of China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia. It is free to the public, and also offers free meditation and Tai Chi classes.
