Food Scene

A scandanavian coffee shop - they have great coffee, and their caramel squares are to die for! They also have a vinyl player and there is always great music playing.

There are several boojum outlets in the city but this one is the original and the closest to the house. Simple, delicious burritos which are filling and only cost about £5. Pretty much everyone loves Boojum.

This is a bar but I have included it under food because their food is great. They have the best burgers in Belfast in my humble opinion. For indulgence, try their 'parful fries' - heavily calorie laden fries which are so good.

Drinks & Nightlife

The best alcohol selection of any off-licence in Belfast. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about their booze, especially beer! They have a particularly good gin and whisky selection also. They also serve draft beer from a tap at the back of the shop which can be brought home in a growler, which we can lend to you during your stay if you wish!

This rooftop bar has a large and funky smoking area. It's a modern, cool bar - I hear the espresso martinis are particularly good.

Authentic Irish bar in the gorgeous cathedral quarter - right in the heart of all the best bars in Belfast and one of our favourites. I always get a guinness when i'm here, it's among the best spots to get a pint of the black stuff in the city.

The start of the towpath is just a 20 minute walk away. It follows the river Lagan all the way to a neighbouring city Lisburn (10 miles away). There is a well maintained tarmac path the whole way, or you can take beaten tracks through fields and meadows at different sections. It's a really beautiful place for a walk. The Lock keepers is a lovely cafe along the path, very popular with walkers.
