Take a nice stroll through the centre, then finish it off by relaxing at the University botanic garden. Admission is free for the outside part, and the greenhouse tickets are very cheap. They also have a lovely cafe, though it's a bit hidden.

You get to see 5km of the cave on 1½-hour tours some is covered by a cool electric train. Postojna Cave has a constant temperature of 10°C , so a warm jacket and decent shoes are advised. Amazing experience, very touristy.

For all the nature lovers, Lake Podpeč is a small, but in many ways a unique natural gem, well known for holding a variety of different fish species. During summer a small beach is organized on the lake, very nice place for hot summer days. Just 30 min from Ljubljana.
