My local supermarket, has everything. Some of the prices might cause sticker-shock, but for Manhattan it's not too bad and it doesn't have the insane lines of Trader Joe's. They also do free delivery!

BEST BRISKET SANDWICHES! Forget about Katz's Deli - that place is an overrated, overpriced tourist shop. Harry & Ida's on the other hand has the best smoked meat sandwiches I've ever had. A little pricey for a sandwich ($15-20) but it's worth stopping by for a sample at the very least.

Built on reclaimed industrial railroad tracks, there are places along the walk to grab some food and beer. I'd recommend starting at the north around 34th Street and ending at the south, going to Chelsea Market or the Standard Beer Garden when you're done.
