How to get around the town without Taxi
Sometimes Taxi in Bangkok may ask you for a lumpsum fare (which is illegal) instead of using the meter. Here's an advice to avoid this frustrating situation.
1. Take public trains for most of the journey - Bangkok now has quite a good coverage of public train system to key part of the town and in an easy walking distance to famous attractions, shopping malls, inter-city train station and both airports.
2. Book a ride with application - can ensure price and some is payable by credit card. Try Cabb, Grab, Bolt, LineMan or Robinhood for taxi. In some area, there is MuvMi, for Tuk Tuk too.
