Learn what it takes to be a Pizzaiolo
We're back! It was a long two years. All that's needed now is your hands, your passion, and a little guidance from us and you'll be making and eating exceptional pizza. First we'll make some dough and...and eat a little pizza. I'll teach you about the importance of time and temperature, about different yeasts and how to make biga or poolish (and even what those words are and why you will want to care). Once the dough is out of the spiral mixer we'll practice shaping it into balls. Oh... it's recess... gotta eat some pizza. Next we'll practice what is probably the hardest yet funnest part of all.... opening up a Neapolitan pizza ball. You'll learn to massage the dough, so the air moves outward toward the edge - otherwise known as the cornicione. Now, take a moment , have some pizza. You deserve it. Then you'll learn to dress the pizza and then then place it into the wood-fired oven. There's no turning back now. In 90 seconds your pizza will be finished. We'll practice this over and over using the same techniques I learned from a world champion. This will be the best class ever because you get to eat your homework!

Learn how to cook & throw the Ultimate Dumpling Dinner Party
Join a hands-on cooking class and dinner party, where you'll learn how to make mouthwatering dumplings from scratch! You'll discover the secrets of how to create bouncy, delicious homemade dumpling wrappers, build flavorful sauces, and master a variety of folding techniques. It's perfect for a unique date night, family cooking activity, team building event, or even solo -- all for new to seasoned chefs. We'll start with a blind tasting of my favorite soy sauces to deep dive into umami. Next, a demo of braised pork belly: a classic Shanghai dish that will combine principles of slow cooking, balanced flavors with local, organic pork. (Not incl. w/10:30a brunch) Then we'll make dumplings from scratch: kneading dough, rolling out dumpling skins, and learning the art of pleating dumplings around a mouthwatering pork stuffing. Once you've created your own batch of delicious dumplings, it'll be time to create your own secret sauce you'll make yourself with flavor fundamentals. We'll eat the slow-cooked pork belly braise, and finish with a red bean dessert - you'll be in a food coma at the end of the experience! Recipe guides will be provided after dinner. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking to try something new, this dumpling dinner party is a must-try experience in San Francisco. (For non-pork eaters, tofu option is available on request w/48h notice)
Pottery in the Mission
We will start with some of the interesting history of the studio space. Then I will get you situated on the wheel and show you how to properly secure your lump of clay. After the clay is secured we start the wheel spinning nice and fast. I will show you how to center the clay which is a very important (and frustrating) stage of making pottery on the wheel. After we successfully center the clay, you will explore how the clay moves and reacts to your touch. We will work to form a simple shape such as a bowl or cup. To finish off we will do some clean up of the form and remove the piece from the wheel in order to start experimenting with the next piece. You can expect to get to practice with around 6 lumps of clay (more if you are ambitious) and most people will create 2-3 pieces by the end of the session. Pieces will be professionally finished, fired, and glazed after the experience. This process takes at least 3 weeks. After the pieces are finished you can pickup in the studio or they can be shipped. Shipping costs are paid by the guest. Other things to note Come wearing clothes that you don't mind getting messy. We will provide aprons. If you have long hair plan to have a hair tie or a way to secure your hair back. Trim long nails if you are able.
Yoga Recharge in an Exotic Orchid Garden
We'll begin with a meditative walk wandering through the Orchid garden, giving you a chance to take in the natural beauty all around. Once you've had the opportunity to appreciate the lush greenery and colorful flowers, we'll regroup and drop into a mellow vinyasa inspired flow. This sequence surrounded by nature will cater to all ability levels (beginners are encouraged to join). We'll conclude the grounding practice with an optional aromatherapy infused savasana, allowing you to heighten your awareness as you drop into a state of deep relaxation. Afterward, you can spend additional time perusing the variety of plants in the garden as you sip on complimentary herbal tea. If it's clear you can also enjoy coastal views from behind the greenhouse. Other things to note Given that we are all navigating life with Covid - please remember to wear a mask for your safety and to help protect the community. It's recommended you bring your own yoga mat to help combat the spread of the virus. Thank you for cooperating, I look forward to flowing with you!
Sacred Cacao Ceremony and Intuitive Sound Bath
Experience the ultimate healing journey with our Sacred Cacao Ceremony + Intuitive Sound Bath. This experience will support any transformational shift you are working towards, whether you are looking to deepen the understanding of your true self, release old patterns and traumas, or move into a more loving and expansive space. It serves as a conduit for self-discovery, self-healing, and personal evolution. As you sip on the delicious, hand-crafted Cacao brew, you'll be guided through a heart-opening, intention-setting exercise so to help you tap into your inner spirit, connect with your true self. After the tea ceremony, you’ll remain seated, or lie down and allow the sound vibrations from singing bowls and other instruments wash over, and take you on an expansive, healing journey. Similar to a deep meditation, the sound bath will balance out your parasympathetic nervous system, and you will release any tensions and stresses in your body and mind. The sound session is also designed to increase your Theta waves, so you can tap into your creative intuition and inner wisdom. After the sound bath, we always want to leave space for group shares. We close out our experience with a group mantra to wish all beings happiness and inner peace. You will leave feeling completely at ease, connected to yourself and the world around you.

Tech Tourism for a Cause
Our group will tour the main office on Airbnb's growing urban campus while learning how our community of hosts, guests, and employees give back. We will do a deep dive on how design informs the culture at Airbnb, and why our mission to create a world where "anyone can belong anywhere" is so important to the work that we do. Be ready to snack on some yummy house made treats compliments of the food team. Other things to note You will be required to bring a valid photo ID, up to date Covid Vaccination Record (indicating that you have been vaccinated and "boosted" against Covid-19), and sign an NDA. The name on your ID must match the name on your Airbnb account. Photos & video allowed in designated areas. No large bags/backpacks.
See San Francisco from a vintage VW Bus
Looking for an authentic San Francisco experience? Trade the tour bus for a vintage Volkswagen bus that easily navigates the city’s less-traveled lanes from the Golden Gate to the Painted Ladies. You will be picked up at our easily accessible pickup location and driven by one of our professional guides in either Lillie or Harvey, our two fully restored vintage 1971 Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter Buses. The tour will last approximately 3 hours and you will get to see all that San Francisco has to offer including 5 photo stops. Enjoy neighborhoods such as Chinatown, North Beach, The Marina, Haight Ashbury and The Castro with photo stops at Coit Tower, Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Point (under the Golden Gate Bridge), Twin Peaks and Alamo Square. Your guide will drop you off at the same location where you were picked up. Other things to note: Bring a camera, light jacket, and a smile. We'll provide a bottle of water. Make sure to be a little early if possible so you can find the pick-up location.
