Flight Lesson in an Open Cockpit Biplane
Welcome to a flight lesson for beginners in a training biplane from WWII. We currently operate out of historic Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ. In this experience you will be exposed to flying in open cockpit biplane (Stearman) over the beautiful mountains, northeast of Mesa. The Stearman was used as a primary training airplane for most of the pilots during WWII, so you will be learning in an authentic piece of history. There are only 2 seats in the plane, one for you and one for me. We'll start with a pre-flight inspection followed by an explanation of the radios and controls. We can fly smooth and level, or we can add in some more energetic maneuvers for those that desire a more thrilling experience. You will be invited to take the controls as part of the lesson. From engine start to return will take approximately 30 minutes, although the entire experience lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
This is a unique experience where you will be exposed to the same type of training that the "Greatest Generation" did during World War II. Flying and training in the Stearman is like traveling back in time nearly 80 years. This experience would certainly make a most memorable gift for birthdays, weddings, holidays, anniversaries, graduations, or "just because". It's also a great gift for the pilot who has everything. A Hold Harmless agreement will need to be signed before flying.

Arizona Offroad Adventures - Bull Dog Canyon
This is an off-road trip through Bulldog Canyon. The trip starts with meeting at a large residential property a few miles from the off-road entrance. I live in the home and it has a large safe area to park in. We will begin the trip with meeting each other. Then there will be a small safety talk. Once everyone is comfortable and ready our adventure begins. We will start with a short drive on the road to the off-road access point. We will be entering Bulldog Canyon off of Ellsworth onto forest road 3554. This road is mostly sand. This area looks like a track from a bmx video game. We will cross the desert to the base of a mountain. Then we will drive through a large wash parallel to the mountain. There is a small opening that we can drive through. We will then turn onto forest road 10. This road is a mix of sand and small rocks. It is a very beautiful picturesque path. We will end the trip driving to the top of a mountain that over looks the city. After viewing the city there is approximately a 10 minute drive on paved roads back to the starting point and your car. This trip takes 2-3 hours depending on road conditions and passenger preferences. Bulldog Canyon is the area of Tonto National Forest north of Usery mountain and south of the salt river. There is a good chance of seeing desert animals like horses, coyotes, javelina, and snakes. Custom times available on request.

Hike through Hidden Valley - South Mtn
We will meet at the trailhead in south Phoenix and hike up Mormon Trail in South Mountain Park Preserve, one of the largest city parks in the nation. This is a climb, right out of the parking lot, with great views of the Phoenix area. I like doing this hike at sunrise for the great views and lighting, but alternate times are available if you contact me before booking. Once we reach the top of the climb, it's rolling hills and some flat desert hiking until we reach the beginning of Hidden Valley where we'll squeeze through two boulders that make up "Fat Man's Pass" into beautiful and secluded hidden valley. We are likely to see wildlife anywhere on this hike but especially so in Hidden Valley. On this hike I have seen coyotes, rattlesnakes, bunny rabbits, quail, humingbirds, chuckwalla lizards, chipmunks, millipedes and bears. (just kidding, no bears). Many neat features and rock formations in Hidden valley, including a spot where we get on our rear ends and slide about 6 feet down a slick rock. We'll leave Hidden Valley through a natural tunnel, see a couple petroglyphs, and then begin to head back down. I know all the great spots (including some off-trail spots) for talking amazing photos. All told this is about a 4.2 mile hike and slightly under 1000 foot accumulated elevation gain. Other trails are also available. Please contact me for alternate times or hikes.
Make Friends With Rescued Farm Animals
Close your eyes…
Now imagine standing under a mesquite tree with chickens & ducks at your feet, goats nudging you for more pets, a mini zebu cow licking your skin with his cat like tongue, llamas & an alpaca in close proximity, the whisping sound of tiki-hut-like feathers from emus, and the subtle oinks of mini pigs waiting for more treats.
Feel surreal? Like an animal lover’s heaven?
Open your eyes; you’re not dreaming. You’re at Fluffy Top Sanctuary, a slice of heaven in the middle of Scottsdale.
*My schedule is flexible so feel free to request other dates and times.
PLEASE NOTE:
I am a firm believer that animals are here *with* us, not *for* us.
What does that mean? Put bluntly: This is not a petting zoo. While many of the animals like pets & interaction, some only want to be observed.
Expect to be judged by curious emus. They will have no problem invading your personal space if they see fit. For bird lovers, this is the perfect opportunity for emu selfies!! However, if the thought of this is terrifying, you might not enjoy yourself.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
FYI- Ever since going viral with his reaction video (11+ million views) and two TV appearances, Pablo Poocasa the rooster might be too busy for autographs. The fame has gone to his feathered head. ;) haha

Energy Work & Sound Healing Experience
Experience yourself in a new way.
In your two hour Sound & Energy Healing Session, we will kick off with a Cacao Blessing to expand the heart energy, followed by an Energy Oracle Card Reading to understand what is going on in your energy and emotions. As we transition into the Energy Work portion of our time together, I will use healing modalities such as Reiki, Aromatherapy, Tuning Forks, and guided Breathwork and Meditation throughout--wrapping your experience up with 45 minutes of Sound Healing (drumming, singing bowls, ukulele, chimes, etc.) and guiding you back into your body through light Yogic Movement.
Learn tools to regulate your body and nervous system to experience what it feels like to move about your days feeling lighter, more energized, more loving, and more trusting of self.
Know for yourself the power of coming into alignment through energy work and powerful body regulation practices.
If you don't see a time listed that works for you, send me a request and we will see what we can make happen!

Spectacular sunset and full moon hike
We’ll meet up at a lightly traveled trailhead in a quiet North Phoenix neighborhood about a half hour before sundown.
From there, we’ll hike a little less than a mile to a scenic, quiet perch where we’ll watch a spectacular Arizona sunset.
Along the way, I’ll point out some cool tidbits about desert plants and animals.
A little later we’ll witness a magnificent full moon rise from the eastern skyline.
With the moon lighting our path, we’ll return to the starting point and say our goodbyes.
This entire, unforgettable experience lasts a total of about 90 minutes.
Total distance is about 1.5 miles and requires the ability to hike terrain as steep as a treadmill set at the highest angle.
If that sounds too challenging, you may want to consider booking my easy hike in the desert. You can request specific dates and times if it’s not already offered at a time that’s convenient for you.
Thanks for considering me as your guide. I hope to meet you on a future hike.
Other things to note:
32nd Street comes to a dead end about a mile south of the SR51 freeway. You can park in one of the five spaces designated for parking or on the street in the neighborhood.
Mesmerizing night glow group hike
If you’re looking for an ordinary experience, you should skip this fun, nighttime glow hike in the iconic Sonoran Desert of Arizona. I’ll provide everything your group needs for an unforgettable outing.
(Best for groups of 4 or more.)
First, we’ll take a few minutes to get acquainted just before dusk at a little known trailhead in North Phoenix.
Next, we'll make our way into the desert on a gently sloped trail with great views of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve.
As daylight fades to night, we’ll arrive on isolated red rock knoll. When the only light is the glow of stars and distant city lights, everyone’s invited to switch on their special ”black light” flashlights that I’ll provide.
You’ll be amazed by the number of bioluminescent things your magic light reveals that are invisible in broad daylight or with a regular flashlight. Be mesmerized by glowing insects, minerals and fossilized algae to name a few of the objects we’ll see.
In case that’s not enough, you’ll laugh like a kid as members of your crew light up like glow sticks when you aim your purple beam at them.
Want to take it to the next level? Encourage your group to wear blacklight-friendly clothing for the hike.
After spotting cool finds and taking advantage of once-in-a-lifetime photo opps, we'll head back to starting point.
Private hike in the desert
If you need a break from group interaction, this private hike experience is for you.
We'll meet at a lightly traveled trailhead in north Phoenix. After taking a few minutes to get acquainted, we'll set foot out on a relatively flat, wide trail where an unobstructed view of mountain peaks will take your breath away.
After about 1/4-mile, the trail narrows and gets steeper, as we make our way up to a nice, red-dirt mound with incredible, panoramic views of the cactus-studded landscape.
From here, we'll take another short jaunt to a higher vantage point before making our way back to the starting point.
In all, we'll cover about 2-1/2 miles and gain about 300 feet of elevation.
Easy hike in the desert
Need a different day or time? Feel free to request it.
At the time you choose, we'll meet at a lightly traveled trailhead in North Phoenix and take a few minutes to get acquainted.
Next, we'll begin our hike on a wide, gently sloped trail with spectacular views of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve.
Along the way, I'll teach you some cool stuff about the desert landscape.
After about 30 minutes, we'll begin making our way back to the starting point. If you want a little more challenge, we’ll have additional routes to choose from on our way back to the starting point.
You’ll leave refreshed with a greater appreciation for Arizona and the Sonoran Desert.
