We do believe in llamas as healers and messengers of Mother Nature (Pachamama). We want you to experience their medicine and help us on their training too. Safety is always top priority for guests and the llamas, so our program will be different on a winter day after a rainy week than it will be on a hot August afternoon. We will put you into situations where you will be able to understand who these llamas are, personally discovering the different personalities that make up our herd. We'll start by foraging through the farm to make a diverse "goat salad." We'll walk through the garden, stop to admire the beehives, and then feed and pet our mini horses, adorable Babydoll sheep, and silly goats. Once our animals have had their salads, The Farmhouse Kitchen at The Nest Box (MEHKO permit #PT0501239) will treat you to a light seasonal farm picnic. Following your fresh farm treats, we'll step in with the chickens and ducks. We'll feed them organic hen scratch and farm greens, if available. We'll watch them happily scratch around and quack and coo, and you can hold and pet them if you’d like too. While they’re scratching around, we’ll step into the coops to check for eggs, then we'll visit with our rambunctious pigs and Harper, our sweet Jersey cow. We'll finish our experience with a calm and relaxing visit with our bunnies and guinea pigs. We'll feed and pet these sweet and soft fur balls. All along the experience, you will learn fun facts about our diverse plant and animal family, and you’ll leave with a seasonal farm gift. Other things to note: Wear comfortable closed-toed walking shoes and clothes you don't mind possibly getting a bit dirty. Boots and long pants are ideal. *Great for teams and team-building too!

We will meet at our Gem and mineral shop and then caravan to the mine. You will drive your own vehicle and follow me. The creek is located very close to the entrance of the mine. We are very lucky to have yearround water in our spring-fed creek for gold panning. We supply all the tools and pans and you get to keep all the gold you find! My goal is to teach you how to pan so you can go off and be able to find gold anywhere. I am highly experienced and can save you a lot of time and wasted money. I’m always happy to answer questions about equipment and other details of gold prospecting. After the two hour trip you will be a real prospector! I always tell people that I wish I was able to learn how to pan for gold on a real gold mine and gold country! It’s so hard for me to explain but look at the pictures and look at the people having fun. That’s what it’s all about! I love meeting new people and will tell you all about my story on the trip.

Join us as we explore ancient Native American trails, camps, and villages, and search for new, previously undiscovered sites. We will be hiking a mostly-level 3-5 mile trip, navigating the low altitude grasslands of the Sierra Nevada foothills near Cool, California. The trip leader will discuss the history and natural world of this area, sharing his knowledge of the local Native Americans, as well as the flora, fauna, and geology of the area. Our trip will also explore new areas, if desired, in search for previously unknown, undocumented cultural resources. Any new sites will be passed along to the North Central Information Center for historical preservation. This is your chance to find history! After the hike, participants will receive a detailed map and photos, if desired, from the trip. This is a kid-friendly, dog-friendly walk, so plan on taking your time! Other things to note This is a hike in the mountains, so plan accordingly. We will be hiking off the trail, so be sure you're comfortable doing so. To stay on the trail is to limit yourself.

I will meet participants and take them to seldom visited local spots and teach them basic phycology (marine algae science) and sustainable harvesting techniques. Not only will participants partake in a unique experience surrounded by breathtaking scenery, but they will leave with the knowledge of how to sustainably harvest nutritious seaweed for themselves for years to come. We make an amazing seaweed Ramen in the traditional Japanese form at the end. Other things to note I WILL SEND YOU EXACT LOCATION AFTER BOOKING > We will be harvesting edible seaweed. Unlike land foraging, there are no toxic seaweeds to worry about. We will show you how to tide pool with minimal impact upon the marine environment. Take a tour of our cidery with our head cider maker. Guests will receive a 30 minute tour covering how our hard cider is made and a 1 hour table service tasting experience. This is great for 21+ cider lovers who enjoy geeking out on the science of cider, regenerative agriculture, local history, and rare and wild fruit trees. We welcome kids and well behaved dogs to our tasting room as well. If you have a group of 6 or more we will accommodate private tours and tastings on different days/times -- send us a message to schedule. The tasting room has a cabinet of board games and we allow outside food in the tasting room (we are within the delivery radius for doordash as well).

We will start at the bottom of the hill, before entering private property. The land owner is VERY friendly and loves sharing his property with people that can enjoy and respect his land. I will guide you on the hike while talking about my knowledge of the area. The views from the top are the best aerial view of the town. I can also be your personal photographer and carry your water and snack. I will carry a backpack and bring some extra drinking water. I also carry a limited amount of security and first aid supplies, just in case. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF IT SAYS THE DATE IS UNAVAILABLE. I MAY BE ABLE TO CORRECT THE CALENDAR. I often bring my 5 year old son who can hike this hill faster than most of us. He is very well behaved and won’t slow us down. (Most of my reviews are actually about him.) Other things to note: Remember that we will be in the wilderness. Wear comfortable hiking shoes and I usually wear long pants. Please check the weather forecast before booking. Sometimes it’s windy, sometimes it’s foggy but still a good hike. Hike is rain dependent and I will refund for rain if requested (not wind or fog) although I am happy to hike in the rain as well. While this technically private property, it's known to locals so there's always a chance we may see 1 or 2 other people up there.

Each guest will choose three bisqued ceramic pieces ready for glazing. Glaze will be supplied along with instructions on how to apply. After glazing, pieces are placed in the kiln ready to Raku. This process is the rapid firing of ceramic pieces. While the pieces are being fired, the guests will be outfitted with gloves and instructed on how to pull their pieces from the kiln with the tongs. When the kiln reaches optimum temperature, the lid is lifted exposing red hot pieces. The guests will remove pieces from kiln placing them in combustion chambers. After pieces are removed from chambers and cleaned, the guests will get to keep them in memory of their visit to the beautiful Central Coast. Even though the Raku experience is spectacular at night, it is equally amazing during the daytime. Please contact us if you would prefer an afternoon experience. Due to the unpredictable nature of the Raku process, results may differ from desired expectations. There are a variety of factors involved which can greatly affect the outcome of each piece of pottery; it is more important for the participant to enjoy and involve themselves in the creative process. Although Raku is a fun and exciting process, guests must be able to follow instructions and work in concert with each other while pulling ceramic pieces from a hot kiln. You’ll be part of our farm animal family for a few hours. Join us as we feed, groom and pet tiny horses, miniature goats, mini pigs ducks and darling rabbits located at Zen Farms. Come spend time with highland cows! Guests will be able to see and interact with highland cows and calves on our farm located in Linden, Ca. Each experience will last approximately an hour and will include a farm tour, education about the breed and interaction with the animals such as brushing/feeding the highlands.

We will meet at the drive-way and proceed to: 1. Visit with our adorable goats, pet, let them nibble from your hand and take them on a little walk. 2. Valentine's Day Sessions begin January 27th-February 10th Bring your family and/or friends to a once in a lifetime Scottish Highland photoshoot and interaction experience! Each experience will last about 45 minutes and will involve education about the breed as well as interaction with the cattle such as feeding, brushing and petting. Pictures will be taken in an outdoor/barn setting with at least one cow or calf. Photos will be taken by a professional photographer and will be available within 3-5 days in digital form. Address will be the day before session. When you arrive Scott and Dana will give you a tour of the farm. We will go over some history and information of bees and beekeeping. Next We will show you all of the equipment we use for tending the bees and also processing the honey. Then we will put on our beekeeping gear, open hives and guide you through a hive inspection. If your feeling up to it you can even hold a frame in your hands while you watch the busy bees at work!! ( We will be taking photos of this special time) Make sure to keep an eye out for the Queen! It’s good luck to be the one who found her. Next, we takeoff our bee suits and sample six or more types of honey! Amazing how different they all taste. This living farm offers changes every day. You might see baby goats and hold them. Or rake the pigs backs with our giant back scratcher. The goats love corn chips and carrots. We frequently have baby rabbits to hold and cuddle. Rabbits free range inside Mr. Mc Gregor's garden where we have raised bed vegetables. We will tour each animal enclosure to pet, offer treats and engage with the various friends that live here. You are welcome to photo, pet or play with them, as they wish, provided safety protocols are respected. Chickens will come and eat from your hand and we will visit the hen house and discuss the biology of egg production. If a mother hen has chicks we can visit and hold the babies. There is a lot to see and do and guests are permitted to linger with their favorite species. The farm is set among the Sierra Nevada foothills with rolling hills in the high chaparral terrain. Our views are spectacular and peace and harmony reign as the animals co-mingle and browse the property. Our large German shepherds ensure that predators are kept at bay as they patrol the property keeping everyone safe. Hats and appropriate footwear are encouraged. Custom tour times can be requested and we will do our best to accommodate.
