You’ll be welcomed into my opened kitchen and lush garden to master the fine art of cooking the perfect paella, following my grandmother’s recipe. I'll explain how to prepare it and will share with you some stories around that traditional dish. We are going to cook, enjoy wine, tapas and a delicious meal together whilst I give you an insight into one of the most coveted recipes in the world. This experience is family friendly, kids are very welcomed! (Children under 6 years doesn't pay). This 4-course workshop lasts approximately 2.5 hours and is a great introduction to the world of paella and Spanish cuisine.  You will be greeted by one of our hosts with a glass of cava and then walked through the concept behind The Paella Club and the ingredients we work with. Afterwards, guests will organise themselves in groups of one-two per cooking station, where they will find every utensil and ingredient needed to cook each paella under the promise of a fully immersive and dynamic experience. Depending on the size of the class, several varieties of paella will be made at each class so that all of the guests are able to learn how to create and taste more than one type of paella.  You will feel at home while our staff guides you through our "10 secret paella steps." As a preview, we'll give away one of the 10 secret steps: Step 1—take a sip of our premium wine. The paella workshop itself has a duration of 45 minutes to an hour. After the workshop is over, while the paellas are finishing cooking, you will sit and enjoy other courses made by our chef as well as your paella creations with Catalan wine pairing. We will move to the Costa Brava (Sant Feliu de Guíxols) to enjoy an original via ferrata whose itinerary runs above the sea. (Attention: If you are an indoor or outdoor climber check my multi-pitch rock climbing experiences in Montserrat. May be of interest to you) The activity consists of being part of the coast through an itinerary equipped with the help of our arms and legs. Before the activity I will show you how to progress through the via ferrata and if you have any problems during the tour I will help you. During the activity you will feel the sea breeze and discover a wild and spectacular wild coast while you are progress climbing on the wall with a mountain guide. We will be 2 hours enjoying the views of the sea as we progress through walls and cliffs safely. Cala del Molí is unique in the whole world. A one day hiking trip to admire and explore the historical and natural terrain of the iconic peaks of Montserrat on this small-group tour, limited to eight people. Starting with a visit to the 16th century Basilica, to admire its 12th century “Black Madonna" a wooden carving from the 12th-century, known as La Moreneta (the Dark One). Then during 4 hours, we will hike past authentic "hermitages" (shrines, retreats) where the first inhabitants of Montserrat gathered more than a thousand years ago. We will watch and perhaps climb, some of the most famous and iconic peaks of the Montserrat mountain range. If you are lucky, you might even see Spanish Ibex in their natural environment. On your way down, you will see more shrines, before heading back to the monastery and returning to your meeting point in Barcelona at around 5:30pm. La 2da parada será el pintoresco Pueblo de Patones considerado uno de los ¨Pueblos Negros de Madrid¨, un lugar mágico que te dejara fascinado desde el primer momento, aquí haremos una pausa de 1 hora 1/2 para comer libremenete en recomendaciones de los restaurantes del pueblo si asi lo desea. Posteriormente, empezaremos a caminar por sus calles icónicas por ser de piedra de pizarra al igual que todas las estructuras del pueblo, sentirás un ambiente de paz y relajación que te transportaran a otros tiempos a medida que te voy contando sobre su interesante historia y como logro sobrevivir durante todo este tiempo. We will meet in Plaza Isabel II, under the statue. This is a centrally located spot, where the Opera metro station stop is. We will start with a Spanish breakfast to have a bit of energy buzz! What better way than a special treat of traditional chocolate & churros? From there, no excuses to be tired now; we will explore the iconic Plaza Mayor and its area. Including a visit to the San Miguel market, one of the first gourmet markets of Spain. I will show you one of my favourite hidden gems, a convent from the XVI century where you can still today buy homemade cookies from the nuns! Then, we will head to the La Latina neighbourhood, an important area to understand better Madrid. We will stop at the local market, where after learning about the Spanish seasonal products, we will do a wine & cheese tasting! Did you know Spain is the second country for the production of wine in the World? Now, it's time to explore El Rastro flea-market area and the Lavapiés neighbourhood. We will walk along with it, including seeing some hidden gems no many people know about before ending in the Market of Anton Martin with a glass of cava and a tapa! We will then end in the heart of Barrio de las Letras. Other things to note: I will cater for food allergies & diet requirements (Vegetarians & Gluten-free won't have any problems). Several old places remains, like the medieval muslim wall in the gardens of Emir Mohamed I, narrow streets with curious names of Arab influence or Jewish origins, squares where kings and princesses watched medieval tournaments at Plaza del Alamillo. We will see the Jewish quarter and the towers of old mosques, now transformed into churches, such as Pedro el Viejo or the Capilla del Obispo. We'll even see a secret garden that was the orchard of a convent. Or the Tower and Palace of Los Lujanes, a very important family in the old times of Madrid. Are places where its walls speaks about the Madrid of the three cultures and the three religions. We will finish the route very close to the Plaza Mayor, where we can talk quietly and you can ask me any questions you have about the city or the information you need.
