Day 1: Meeting at Trekking Tour Sapa, 09 Thac Bac road, at 9 AM.
In this tour I will take you to Lao Chai village, a beautiful local minority village based approximately 13 km outside of Sapa. We start trekking in Sapa and the first part of this hike we will be walking downhill. From the main road a small path will lead us into the Muong Hoa valley.
In Y Linh Ho, a charming little town inhabited by the Hmong minority, we will cross the bridge. From here the road goes up and down. We will walk over the edges of the rice fields in the shadow of the mighty Fansipan-mountain which is right behind us. We will cross some hills before we enter the village of Lao Chai, one of the oldest and largest Hmong villages in the area.
From Lao Chai we will walk to Ta Van Village where we will overnight, mostly inhabited by the Giay and Hmong ethnic minorities. If it is the right time of the year you can see the people planting rice or harvesting it. We will learn you all about the differences between the ethnic minority groups.
When we reach the homestay you can walk around in the village OR join the family cook dinner.
