Hillside's Rest Nest

When I refurbished the place, my aim was to create a place to relax, read or hideaway to focus on work. Located in the neighbourhood, where all the city life is just a 5-10 minutes walk away and at the same time, it does not feel as city at all as the forest and river walk is just around the corner. I am glad to share it with likeminded travellers and I will be glad to share all those little tips and tricks about places in Cesis, worthwhile to experience - from nature spots to cosy pubs :-)

An apartment in a former Hotel of Cesis Castle

This cozy apartment is fully accommodated and furnished as our family with two kids lives here in winter time. It has oak tree parquet, renovated widows, a small kitchen, bathroom with underfloor heating. The sight from the windows features towers of the New Castle and the church of St. John. Apartment surrounded by two parks. The May Park (with the black swans and playground) is across the street. The Medieval castle and tourist information center is in 5 minutes walk.

Old Town Apartment

The Old Town Apartment is located on the ground floor of the historic building in the very heart of town, surrounded by many bars, restaurants, cafes and outdoor eating terraces. However the apartment itself is very quiet and peaceful because it is facing the back of the building with a quaint little courtyard. There are also two bicycles that can be used to explore the town, visit its historic sights or cycle on the many cycling/walking tracks in the Gauja National Park.
