Blenheim Palace was built in the early 18th-century, as a gift from Queen Anne to the 1st Duke of Marlborough, John Churchill, the military commander who led troops to a huge victory over the French in the Battle of Blenheim (13 August 1704), in the War of the Spanish Succession.
Local people loves to walk their gardens which were
landscape designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, he created a spectacular setting for Blenheim Palace over 10 years starting in 1763 for the 4th Duke of Marlborough: lake, trees, sheep, swans, all was designed.
Also you can pay and go inside the palace.

It is church in the most beautiful central area of the city.
I have been in the mass, they have a great classic choral and piano. I have never been upstairs. But I love to stop to have a seat and chat in their cafe.

In the outside border of Oxford you will find free walking paths to go along side the Oxford Canals. They were built to level the waters and stop flooding. They have ducks, nice boats with people living inside, and is a nice walk to do. Local people runs, cycle, walk the dogs along the canals.
It is a strange place in an industrial building; but it has turn out to have good beer and music, and is very close to our house.
