Most people are familiar with Clearwater beach, but there are other beaches nearby that the locals prefer to get away from the traffic and large crowds.
Sunset Beach is a small private beach 20 minutes from the cottage. It’s perfect for those who want to get away from the large populated beaches. There is a kids park and picnic benches and bathroom facility. No charge to get in or park. No lifeguards on duty, but there are no waves the water is tranquil.

This beach is larger than Sunset beach. There is a state park with nature trails, playground, and picnic area for large groups, and a beautiful beach. There is a small parking fee.

This beach is part of a state park and is beautiful nature surrounds it. You get the waves like Clearwater beach without the traffic, noise, hotels and condos. Bring your own food, there are no restaurants nearby.
There is a small fee per vehicle to enter the park and beach. There is an additional fee if you want to take the boat that takes you to the actual Honeymoon Island.

There is a small fee per vehicle to enter the park and beach. There is an additional fee if you want to take the boat that takes you to the actual Honeymoon Island.

After you enter Honeymoon Island State Park is you want to visit the island , There is an additional fee for the ferry the ferry to Caladesi Island. The fee is $14 dollars for adults and $7 for children 6-12, 5 and under ride free. Bring your own food and drinks.
